Electoral Tribunal suspends a planned Coclé headquarters over the railway alignment
The Electoral Tribunal said uncertainty over the possible railway alignment led it to suspend a planned regional headquarters project in Coclé.
Background & context
Coclé hosts two of the 14 announced stations, Río Hato and Penonomé. The final Phase 1 alignment had not been published at the time, and the property and forest survey of the corridor was only being tendered that month.
This is the first reported case in the archive of another public entity pausing its own project because of the railway's route.
