Railway Secretariat presents the logistics corridor to a UAE business delegation

At the Panama–United Arab Emirates Business Roundtable, held at the CCIAP, the SNDF presented the Panama Railway Logistics Corridor Program, framing the line as a way to strengthen Panama as a multimodal hub integrated with its Pacific and Atlantic ports, free zones, and freight network.
Background & context
Courting Gulf capital fits a pattern: the SNDF has separately signed a memorandum with Costa Rica's INCOFER and previously discussed interest from the UK (UKEF), France, Japan, and Spain. None of these has converted into a financing agreement yet, and business roundtables are, by design, exploratory, they precede due diligence, not follow it.
What would move this from courtship to commitment is a term sheet: an amount, a rate, a security structure. Until one appears, this reads as Panama building a wider field of potential financiers before it needs to choose one, sound sequencing, not news of a deal.
